Who we are

VergeOn Media Group (“VergeOn”, “we”) is the responsible party for personal information collected through vergeon.co.za under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Contact us about privacy at info@vergeon.co.za.

What we collect

Only what you give us through our forms, email, phone or WhatsApp: your name, email address, phone number, company, the service you are interested in, and the details of your project or message.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry, prepare quotes, deliver services you request, send necessary service messages, and meet legal obligations. We send marketing only with your consent and you can opt out at any time.

How forms work

Our contact and quote forms open your own email app with your message ready to send, so the information reaches us by email. We do not store form submissions in a website database.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business (for example email, hosting and communication providers) and where the law requires. Some providers may process information outside South Africa; we expect them to protect it appropriately.

WhatsApp and CRM

If you message us on WhatsApp, or use a service we run for a client such as a CRM or WhatsApp Business chatbot, we process your phone number, name, the content of your messages and related details to respond to you and manage the conversation. WhatsApp is operated by Meta, which processes messages under its own terms and privacy policy. Where we operate these tools for a client, the client is the responsible party and VergeOn acts as its operator.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your name, business name (optional), city (optional) and email address. We use them only to send the newsletter, to personalise it and to keep a record of your consent. Every email lets you unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time. We may use an email-delivery provider that acts as our operator.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not use advertising cookies. Optional cookies and similar tools (functional, analytics and marketing) stay off until you allow them, and you can change your choice any time in Cookie Settings. If you allow analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and buttons lead to enquiries, and Microsoft Clarity to produce heatmaps and session recordings that show where visitors get stuck. Form fields are masked, and we do not use these tools to identify you or to show you adverts. Google and Microsoft act as our operators and may process this data on servers outside South Africa, in which case we rely on the safeguards POPIA allows for cross-border transfers. Turning analytics off in Cookie Settings stops further collection.

Keeping it safe and how long we keep it

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information and keep it only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected or as the law requires.

Your rights

You may ask us to confirm what we hold about you, correct or delete it, or object to its processing by emailing info@vergeon.co.za or using our Data Deletion page. You may also complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.

Children

Our services are not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
