Cancellation
How to cancel a VergeOn service, and what happens next.
Last updated: 1 October 2026
Who this applies to
This policy covers once-off projects (such as websites, apps and design) and ongoing or monthly services (such as hosting, SEO, marketing, our CRM and our WhatsApp Business chatbot). Your quote or agreement states which applies to you and prevails if it differs from this page.
Cancelling before work starts
You may cancel a project in writing before we start work. Deposits cover time already reserved and any third-party costs already incurred; see our Refund Policy for what is returned.
Cancelling a project in progress
You may cancel at any time by written notice. You pay for work completed up to the cancellation date and any non-refundable third-party costs (for example domain registration or paid licences). Work completed is delivered to you once outstanding amounts are settled.
Monthly and subscription services
Hosting, CRM, WhatsApp chatbot and similar services continue month to month or for the term in your agreement. To cancel, give us at least 20 business days’ written notice. Service and billing continue until the notice period ends, and we do not charge for the period after it. Where the Consumer Protection Act applies to your agreement, we may charge only a reasonable cancellation penalty for fixed-term agreements.
WhatsApp and third-party fees
Meta’s WhatsApp fees, domain registrations, SMS and similar pass-through costs are billed by or through the provider. We cannot reverse amounts already charged by a third party, but we will stop adding to them once the service is cancelled.
What happens after cancellation
- We switch off the service at the end of the notice period.
- You may request an export of your data (for example CRM contacts or chat records) before that date.
- We then delete or anonymise your data as set out in our Data Deletion page, except where the law requires us to keep records.
How to cancel
Email support@vergeon.co.za from the address on your account with the subject “Cancellation”, naming the service you want to cancel. We will confirm in writing within 2 business days.
Our right to cancel
We may suspend or cancel a service if payment is overdue after notice, if you break our Terms or WhatsApp’s messaging policies (for example sending unsolicited messages), or if the law requires it.
