Data Deletion

How to ask us to delete your personal information.

Last updated: 1 October 2026

Your right to deletion

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) you may ask us to delete personal information we hold about you. This includes information collected through our website, email, phone, WhatsApp conversations and CRM records.

How to request deletion

Use the form below, email info@vergeon.co.za with the subject “Data deletion request”, or send us a WhatsApp message on (+27) 73 411 8468. Tell us your name and the email address or phone number we hold, so we can find your records.

What happens next

  1. We confirm it is really you, so nobody else can delete your information.
  2. We confirm receipt within 5 business days.
  3. We delete or anonymise your information within 30 days and tell you when it is done.

What we may need to keep

We may keep information the law requires us to hold, such as invoices and financial records (generally five years), or information needed to deal with a dispute. We keep only what is required and delete it when the reason ends.

WhatsApp conversations

We delete the chat records and contact details we hold in our systems. Messages stored on your own phone, and data held by WhatsApp or Meta under their own policies, are outside our control, so delete those from your device and use WhatsApp’s own tools for Meta-held data.

If you are a client using our CRM or chatbot

Your customers’ information is yours; we process it on your instructions. When you cancel, you may export your data first and we delete it afterwards. To have your customer data deleted earlier, email us from your account address.
